Marion Elizabeth Lake (Bette). Born in Absecon, NJ on December 9, 1923 and residing in Pleasantville, NJ. Predeceased by parents Lewis Henry and Rose Steelman Price Lake; brother Private First Class Lewis (Bud) Henry Lake, Jr.; sisters Laura Florence Lake Bird of Georgia; and Alice Lake Parks of Ohio. Surviving are: niece Donna Anne Parks of England; great-nephew Joseph Jedwob Parks of England; niece Cheryl Ann Parks of Ohio; great-nephew Andrew Paul Parks of Ohio; aunt Anna Pauline Lake Edwards of Pennsylvania; aunt Markanna Lake Miller; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Miss Lake had been employed forty-one years with Western Union Telegraph in Philadelphia. Marion was a member and board of director of the Lake Family Association; also a member of the Leeds Avenue Alumni Association. She graduated from Pleasantville High School in 1942. Marion was an active member of The Presbyterian Church of Pleasantville since 1937, and former choir member of the church, which is currently known as Ocean Heights Presbyterian Church.
