Marvie Rose Williams, 81, of Pleasantville, NJ passed away on Thursday, April 30, 2020. She was born March 24, 1939 to Charles and Mildred Langford in Nova Scotia, Canada.
“Bama” as she was known to family and friends moved to the United States with her husband, Henry Lee Williams, where he was in the Air Force. They finally settled down in Somers Point, NJ with her son Mark Langford.
Marvie worked in the casinos and as a housekeeper and later retired. Marvie loved dogs and growing her own plants as well as traveling. She also loved to sit in front of the television watching Family Feud while she put her puzzles together and doing her crossword puzzles. Marvie was a loving, caring, genuine, passionate mother and grandmother and just a great human being in all. Everybody that met her loved her. Marvie’s spirit will live on.
She is preceded by her husband Henry Lee Williams, sister Nina Rollins and niece Gina Rollins. Marvie is survived by her son Mark Langford (Laura) of Pleasantville; two grandchildren Morgan Langford of Pleasantville and Marcus Langford (Christol) of Atlantic City; two great-grandchildren Constance and Cianni; brother-in-law Glenn Rollins of Ohio; one niece Glenda Rollins of Ohio; and a host of family and friends.
Bama will truly and sincerely be missed by everybody.
