Mary Ann Ims

Ims, Mary Ann, our beloved mother, wife, spiritual guide and friend has wonderfully and mystically transitioned from this life to eternal life with our Father in heaven. She is survived by her loving and attentive husband, Richard, their four children and ten grandchildren. Mary Ann Ims was born Mary Ann Golden of parents Thomas and Angela Golden on September 22, 1936 in Camden, NJ. They relocated to Glen Rock, NJ and Mary Ann attended St. Bernadette's Prep School in Patterson. Mary Ann married Richard J. Ims Sr. on December 28th, 1957. This past Christmas, they beautifully celebrated their 50th anniversary in sacramental matrimony. Mary Ann and Richard renewed their vows, which were witnessed by friends and family including their children, Angela Vanore, Richard Ims Jr., Deborah Shaeffler and Mary Katherine Archibeque as well as grandchildren Doug, Erin, Dan, Chris, Mark, Jessica, Maria, Faith, Megan and Rachel. Mary Ann enjoyed an exquisite musical career prior to marriage and continued singing God's praises for the rest of her life. She was a devoted member of the Jubilate Deo Choral and Orchestra as well as the Camden Diocesan Choir. She directed the St. Vincent De Paul Church Choir for more than 15 years. Mary Ann had an exquisite, professional, pure and angelic voice, which was a source of joy and peace for so many. Mary Ann peacefully passed away at home, which was her wish, on Wednesday, February, 13, 2008 in the presence of her family. She was given a number of medical crosses for many years, which she bore with great dignity and a long-suffering heart and body, which she offered to God for the good of souls.
