Matthew Mason

Matthew Edward Mason, 24, of Egg Harbor Twp., born March 22, 1990, left us entirely too soon on April 30, 2014. Beloved youngest son of Kenneth & Theresa Mason and little brother to Kenneth Mason Jr. Matthew was a complete charmer who had a great love for the outdoors. His primary pleasures were fishing, hunting, boats or just being on the water with his Dad. He also had great affection for ATV’s and four-wheeling with his brother. Matthew enjoyed spending countless hours with his beloved mom-mom & pop-pop Brightly. He loved spending time on the beach with his fiancé, Brittney and dogs Bentley and Sadie. Matthew was also a very talented artist who never realized his full potential. He was a member of the Somers Point Marine Unit for the past 4 years. Most recently employed as a landscaper with Ken’s Quality Lawn Care of Egg Harbor Twp. Matthew’s departure has been a devastating loss to all his family & friends. Matthew is survived by his parents, Kenneth & Theresa (Allmond) Mason of Egg Harbor Twp.; his brother Kenneth Mason Jr., Fiancé, Brittney Maguire of Mays Landing, Grandparents, Edward & Linda Brightly of Egg Harbor Twp, Albert & Cecilia Allmond of Somers Point, Kenneth & Pat Mason of Petersburg, and Great-Grandmother, Elizabeth Mason of Lake Worth FL. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins and dear friends that will miss him tremendously. Family and friends are invited to attend his viewing, Monday, May 5, 2014 from 4:00pm - 6:00pm at Boakes Funeral Home, 6050 Main St. , Mays Landing, NJ, where reflections by family and friends will be held at 6 PM.
