Mildred Granese (nee Caltibiano), 95, of Mays Landing, passed away peacefully at home on July 8, 2010. Born in Philadelphia to Joseph and Anna Caltibiano, she resided in Vineland for over 65 years before relocating to Mays Landing in 1994. Mildred will be remembered for her sweet and sunny disposition and her kind and generous spirit. She touched the lives of all who knew her. An amazing cook, she graciously entertained family and friends for six decades. A 1933 graduate of Vineland High School, she was an active member of its reunion committee until its 70th reunion in 2003. She was a former member of the Sicilian-American Club of Vineland and the Township of Hamilton Republican Club. Predeceased by her husband Philip and son-in-law Richard Evoy, Mildred is survived by her daughters: Lorraine with whom she resided, Laura Evoy of Estell Manor; sisters-in-law Mae Casey of Ohio, Ann Boyle of California; her beloved cousins John LaTorre of Marlton and Albert LaTorre of Philadelphia; eight nieces and nephews, and a large extended family. A special appreciation to the staff of Holy Redeemer Hospice for their compassionate care and support over the last seventeen months. A celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, July 17, at 200 Fifth Avenue in Estell Manor from 2-7 PM. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family.
