Nino J. Demidio, of Galloway, passed away at home on June 20, 2012 with his family around him. Born June 16, 1926 in Atlantic City, he was a lifelong resident of Galloway Township.
He served in the U.S. Navy during WWII. He retired from Penn Jersey Building Materials/Eastern Transit Mix after 32 years of service. He was a member of Teamsters Local 331 for 40 years before retiring.
In his leisure time, he loved to paint and work in his yard and garden.
Preceded in death by his wife Marie, and grandsons Charley and Eddie, he is survived by his son Chick (Pat), daughter Donna Phillips (Bernie) who were his loving caregivers; grandchildren: Tony, Dawn (Lee), Kevin Mankow (Vicky), Kelly Mankow-Fazzino (Peter); and three great-grandchildren: Kaylee, Alexis, and Aiden. He will also be remembered by Denise, who was like a second daughter.
A viewing will be held on Saturday, 10-11:30 AM at the Boakes Funeral Home, 6050 Main St., Mays Landing, where services will be held at 11:30. Burial with military honors will be in Holy Cross Cemetery in Mays Landing.
