Paul Regan

Regan, Paul J., 83, of Mays Landing, passed away peacefully at his home with his family at his side. Paul was born on July 20, 1923 in Rouses Point, NY, the son of the late William and Frances Regan. He grew up in Burlington, VT until he joined the Army in 1942. He served in the 90th Infantry Division under General George Patton's 3rd Army. His WWII wartime commendations were the Purple Heart and the Bronze Star. After his discharge from the service, he attended and graduated from Georgetown University in 1949. He graduated in 1950 from the Catholic University School of Law. He was employed as an analyst at the CIA in Washington, DC until he moved to South Jersey in the insurance industry. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Loretta (nee: Massa), and his children: Mary Frances Regan and Mary Ellen Sernaker, both of Cockeysville, MD, Mary Clare Shuster and her husband David of Pittsgrove, and a son Paul Regan of Egg Harbor Township. He is also survived by his grandchildren: Derek and Sarah Sernaker, Meghan Regan, and David and Jeremy Shuster. He will be missed by his devoted pet, Douglas. A viewing will be held Thursday, 9-10:30 AM, at the Boakes Funeral Home, 6050 Main St., Mays Landing. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 AM, Thursday, at St. Vincent de Paul Church, Rt. 50 & 2nd St., Mays Landing. Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery in Mays Landing. Donations in his memory may be made to the St. Vincent de Paul Church Building Fund, 114 Route 50, Mays Landing, NJ 08330.
