Richard Shaner, 47, formerly of Mays Landing, NJ, passed away on June 21st, 2016 in Florida surrounded in love by his family. Rich was born in Philadelphia, PA in 1969, but raised in Mays Landing. His heart was filled with love and compassion, and he found his calling in the medical field. Rich became a CNA in 2010 and worked at Cape Coral Hospital in the ICU, where he touched many lives. Rich was a free spirit who loved the Philadelphia Eagles, the woods, fishing, family and friends. Rich was preceded in death by his brother Brian Shaner and his father Larry. He will be deeply missed by his children Ashley Shaner (15), Kaitlin (17) and Adam (19); his siblings Larry (Dorothy) Turfus, Melissa (Chip) Blackledge and Karen Shaner; his mother Patricia Webb; and the love of his life Jennifer Lake. A memorial service will be held on Sunday July 10th 2016 at Boakes Funeral Home, Mays Landing NJ from 2pm-4pm.
