Sgt. Robert J. Finnegan Jr. Obituary Robert J. Finnegan Jr, 28, passed unexpectedly on Thursday, June 4, 2015. Sgt. Robert J. Finnegan Jr., was born January 21, 1987, in Voorhees, NJ and resided in United States Marine and actively served in Operation Iraqi Freedom as an Avionics Technician. His last duty assignment and Major Command was at HMH-772(-), MAG-49, 4TH MAW, Fort Dix, NJ. Robert was also a Martial Arts Instructor and Lean Six Sigma Green Belt candidate. He was a dedicated and loving husband, father, son and grandson. He leaves behind his beloved wife, Lauren Finnegan (Quiñones), his beautiful children; son, Robert J. Finnegan III (7), Julianna Rose Finnegan (2), and step-son, Gavin Scott Csaszar (6). Parents, Robert Sr. and Christina (Majuri), sisters Maria, Brielle and brother, Cade. Mother in-law, Sharyn Quiñones, brother and sister in-law, Manuel and Candace Quinones. Grandparents, Walter and Diane Finnegan, and Eleanor and Sean Elliott. He is predeceased in death by maternal grandparents, Anthony and Carmela Majuri. He leaves behind a large, loving and unforgettable family of aunts, uncles, cousins, niece, nephew and countless friends. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, June 13, 2015 at St. Vincent de Paul Church, 5021 Harding Hwy, Mays Landing, NJ where a viewing will be held from 10am-12pm. Burial and Military Honors will follow at the Atlantic County Veteran’s Cemetery, Route 50, Estell Manor, NJ. In lieu of flowers, a college fund will be set up for all Robert’s children.
