Ronald Ray Kaas 45 - of Buena passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, April 5, 2017. Ron was born on March 29, 1972 in Columbia, South Carolina to Virgil and Linda Kaas. As a child, he moved with his family across the United States and abroad for the U.S. Army, but Dadeville, Alabama was the home of his heart. His love for Alabama football and NASCAR began there, and Ron enjoyed playing the drums in the Dadeville High School Sound of Gold marching band. He graduated from Dadeville High School in 1990. Ron married his sweetheart, Jennifer (Rhodes) Kaas, on April 18, 1998, and he worked as supervisor for J. Souders and Son Excavating since 2001. A skilled grillmaster, Ron loved to host large barbeques for his family and friends. Mr. Kaas is survived by his wife Jennifer M. (Rhodes) Kaas; children Kevin Kaas (24), Alexandria Rowe (23), Ronald Kaas (18), and George Kaas (15); granddaughter Olivia Rowe (6); mother Linda Kaas; father Virgil Kaas (Bonnie); sister Rhonda McKelvey (Brad); father and mother-in-law James and Linda Rhodes; brother-in-law James Rhodes (Shannon); sister-in-law Jessica Young (Jared); niece Lauren Rhodes and nephews James Rhodes, Dustin and Dillon McKelvey, and Declan and Shea Young; several aunts, uncles, and cousins; and many close friends in both New Jersey and Alabama. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, April 12, 2017 at 6:30 pm at Boakes Funeral Home 6050 Main Street, Mays Landing, where family and friends may gather from 5-6:30 pm.
