Ronald R Ux, passed away on Monday, January 9, 2017. Ron was born in Slatington, PA on June 20, 1942 to Russell R. and Dorothea B. (Geary) Ux. He graduated in 1961 from Boyertown Senior High School, Boyertown, PA. Following a 4 year stint in the Marines, Ron went to work as a welder for Pottstown Metal Welding. He moved to the Manahawkin, NJ area after meeting his wife Deanne (Ackerman) who predeceased him in 2009. In 2011 he moved to Mays Landing, NJ to live with his sister Kathryn and her husband David until his death. He is also survived by his brother Richard Ux (Priscilla) of Pennsburg, PA; Roger Ux (Cheryl) of Boyertown, PA; and Keith (Celeste) of Hobart, IN; as well as son Russell Ux (Kelly) of Englesville, PA; stepdaughter Elizabeth O'Connell, stepsons Timothy and Robert O'Connell, nieces and nephews, and cats Max and Molly. Ron loved fishing, auto racing (Dale Earnhardt Jr. and Jeff Gordon) and the Yankees and Giants. He served as a valuable crew member on brother-in-law David's racing team at New Jersey Motorsports Park and was a member of the Sports Car Club of America for 9 years. Relatives and friends are invited to Boakes Funeral Home, 6050 Main St., Mays Landing, NJ on Saturday, January 14, 2017 for viewing from 10-11am and a Reflections Service at 11 AM. Interment will follow at Greenwood Cemetery in Manahawkin, NJ next to his beloved wife. In lieu of flowers please donate to the animal rescue of your choice in Ron's memory.
