Rosanne Armbruster Mays Landing, New Jersey Obituary

Rosanne Armbruster

Armbruster, Rosanne, of Collings Lakes was ushered into heaven on Saturday, November 8, 2008 after a long-term battle with breast cancer. Rosanne was a hard worker. In her early years, she worked at RCA while she was a key hole puncher at home. She then continued to First Federal Savings & Loan. Continuing unto South Jersey Gas Company, she retired after 25 years of service. Though she was retired, she continued to work at Camden County Vo-Tech as a custodian. She worked up to weeks before her death. First battling breast cancer, Rosanne was determined to beat all the odds. She continued to fight even as it spread to her brain and then her spine. She loved her family, her friends, and believed in making lasting memories. Special family trips will be remembered dearly. Her strong will, courage, and determination to fight her cancer with dignity, should encourage all. She was vibrant and full of life. Enjoying her sausage and peppers at the carnival, just gave her more opportunity to be around people. Having a heart of gold she greeted all with a smile and a welcomed heart. She was a loving mother, spoiling grandma, and a lasting friend to all. She is predeceased by Robert N. Armbruster. She is survived by her parents Edward and Anne Garcia of Franklinville; Donna Fox, her sister of Franklinville, and her husband Barry; her children: Coleen Acord of Mays Landing and her husband John, Sharyn Quinones of Mays Landing, Edward Dean O'Donnell of Philadelphia, Anne Bocchino of Medford and her husband Jim, Timothy O'Donnell of Cape May and his wife Melissa, and Sean O'Donnell of Margate Florida; her 10 grandchildren: Amy, Manny, Johnny, Lauren, Ashley-Ann, Holly, Dillon, Marissa, James, and Matthew; and three months away from being a great-grandma to baby Gavin. Of course, this obituary would not be complete without mentioning her favorite companions: Missy Girl, Hugs, Kisses, Sandy, and Dehlia. She will be sadly missed by all. Viewings will be held on Wednesday, 6-8 PM, and Thursday 9:30-10:30 AM at the Boakes Funeral Home, 6050 Main St., Mays Landing. A Mass of Christian Burial will be on Thursday, 11 AM, at St. Vincent de Paul Church, 114 Route 50, Mays Landing. In lieu of flowers, donations in her name may be made to the Fox Chase Cancer Center, Office of Institutional Advancement, 333 Cottman Ave., Philadelphia, PA 19111 or the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation (make checks payable to The Komen Foundation), P.O. Box 650309, Dallas, TX 75265-0309.
