Ruth Ann King

Ruth A. King (Myers), 66, a long-time resident of Dorothy, NJ, passed away on Sunday, September 1, 2013 at the Inspira Hospital in Vineland with her family by her side.

She graduated from Gloucester High in 1965. She started nursing school in 1965 and graduated as an LPN in 1967.

She worked as an LPN for over 40 years at Newcomb Hospital, now known as Inspira Hospital in Vineland until retiring in May 2012.

She is predeceased by her parents William and Jean Myers of Estell Manor.

She is survived by her loving husband of 44 years, John W. King; her sons: John R. King (Michele) of Shiloh, and Matthew S. King of Dorothy; her granddaughter Tiffany of Shiloh; sister Barbara Pierman (Tom) of West Deptford; brother William Myers (Gail) of Mystic Island; sister Shirley Evans of Mays Landing; her in-laws of Gloucester City; many nieces and nephews, and her precious cat Levi.

She loved gardening, going to yard sales, and traveling with her family; but most of all, she loved spending time with her family.

A viewing will be held for Ruth on Saturday, September 7th from 9-11 AM at the Boakes Funeral Home, 6050 Main St., Mays Landing, where services will be held at 11 AM. Burial will be at the Atlantic County Veterans Cemetery in Estell Manor.
