Rowlands, Ruth Ann, 75, of Absecon, NJ went home to be with the Lord on October 19, 2011 surrounded by her loving family and friends. Ruthie, (Sis) was born January 10,1936 to the late Angelo and Ruth LaPollo in Lindenwald, NJ. Ruth Ann worked for a brief period as a seamstress before finding her true calling as a devoted wife, home maker and a fabulous cook. She is survived by her loving husband of 42 yrs George Rowlands, daughters Pat Smith, and Kimberly (Joel) Gollub, grand children Jessica and Thomas, brother Angelo LaPollo Jr. (Ida), sisters Lillian (Lou) Maccarella, Carol Doyne, many nieces, nephews and friends including the SJ Clamdiggers Camping Club. A gathering of family and friends will be held on Monday October 24th from 1:30-2:30pm, with a memorial service at 2:30pm, at Boakes Funeral Home, 6050 Main St., Mays Landing NJ. Burial will be private.
