Santos “Mama Lita” Borja - 69 of Ventnor, went home to be with the Lord on Nov. 7, 2017.

Born on April 1st 1948 in El Salvador, Mama Lita grew up in Chalatenango. Mama Lita later married the love of her life, Santos Lopez Hernandez and they raised four children. Mama Lita was a devoted mother, aunt, sister, wife, friend, and grandmother. She was empathetic, family oriented, and loving to all of her family and those she loved. Through the years, she helped in raising many children and was very proud to be the grandmother of 13 grandchildren. Mama Lita loved celebrating the holidays and family get-togethers; and put great value in the importance of family being there for one another. Mama Lita was a great cook and would spend countless hours in the kitchen. Everyone loved her “Pupusas” and Thanksgiving dinners. Mama Lita will be greatly missed and remembered always.

Family and friends will gather for the viewing at St. Vincent de Paul Church on November 14, 10am-12pm, at 5021 Harding Highway, Mays landing, NJ. The mass will take place at 12pm. The burial will take place immediately after at Holy Cross Cemetery, right across from the St. Vincent De Paul Church.
