Selena Barry

Selena M. Barry, of Mays Landing, passed away on July 18, 2010 after a lengthy illness. Born and raised in Atlantic City, she moved to Mays Landing in the late 1950's. She worked as a bartender, first at 50 Bar, then Donny's Mays Landing Inn, where she worked until 2007. She was a beloved bartender and well-known in the community. She spent many nights singing with her friends at Donny's. In her leisure time she loved musicals and was an avid Dallas Cowboy's fan. A great friend, wonderful mother, and loving wife, she has finally made her journey to be with her husband Al. She is survived by her daughter Melanie Barry of New York; her sister Judi Cancelosi; special nephew Jay Mooney; as well as a host of other nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held on Monday 11 AM at the Boakes Funeral Home, 6050 Main St., Mays Landing, where friends may gather from 10 AM until the time of the service. Burial will be in the Atlantic County Veterans Cemetery in Estell Manor.
