Ted Evans

Ted Evans, 58 Life Long resident of Mays Landing, passed away at South Jersey Regional Medical Center in Vineland on April 13th, 2013 with his family by his side, after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Ted was a graduate of Oakcrest High School in Mays Landing. He worked at Whitehall Labs. (Hammonton), T-Fal (Millville), Accent Fence (Egg Harbor), James Candy (Atlantic City) and most recently Gerreheimer Glass (Vineland). When he wasn’t working Ted enjoyed building and working on cars, welding, machining parts (with “0” tolerance), and riding his motorcycles. But most of all making sure his family was taken care of. Ted is survived by his devoted wife of 36 years Shirley (Myers) Evans and their two children, his number one daughter Kerry (Evans) Lacontora, Son-in-law John Lacontora. His number one son Steve Evans, daughter-in-law Nicole (LaPergola) Evans, his one and only grandson “Lil” John Lacontora all from Mays Landing. He is also survived by his brother and sister-in-laws Jack and Ruth (Myers) King of Dorothy, Tom and Barbara (Myers) Pierman of West Deptford, and Bill and Gail Myers of Mystic Island and many nieces and nephews. Also by all of his many, many, fantastic friends who will cherish his memories and his love. Services will be private.
