McCrae, Velma E., 97, of Mizpah, passed away on November 13, 2007 peacefully at her home. Born in Matthews County, VA she was raised in Philadelphia. She has lived in Mizpah since 1930. Velma was a devoted homemaker. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Mizpah where she was a member of the Pastor's Aid and sang in the choir. She was always willing to assist her church family. Wife of the late James McCrae, she is survived by her son Gerald E. and his wife Helen; her grandson Stanley and his wife Alline; her two great-granddaughters, Tanesha and Kim; a great-great granddaughter, Joi; her brother Arthur Jones and his wife Rosa Marie; and a host of other relatives and friends. A viewing will be held on Saturday, 12 Noon - 1 PM at the First Baptist Church of Mizpah, Annapolis Avenue, Mizpah, where services will be held at 1 PM. Burial will be in Lincoln Memorial Park in Mays Landing.
