Venera DeLuca, “Aunt Ven”, 84, of Mays Landing, passed away suddenly on Sunday, November 1, 2015, at her home.
Ven was born and raised in South Philly and was a die hard Phillies fan. She was an avid reader of thriller and horror books, especially Stephen King. She also enjoyed crossword puzzles and trivia. Ven was a completely selfless woman who donated to many charities.
She was predeceased by her parents Nicola and Mary DeLuca, her sister Diana Ciccarone and her brother-in-law Don Amodei.
She will be greatly missed by her sisters Anne Castello and Linda Amodei, her brother-in-law Bill Ciccarone, her nephews John and Michael Castello (Suzanne), her nieces Carol Smith (Michael) and Nicole Amodei-Moulron (Amaury) and her great nephew and niece Matt and Laura Castello.
The family will be having a private memorial gathering.
