Verus Murray Smith of Mays Landing, NJ, died October 11, 2010. Born December 9, 1925, he graduated from Valley Forge Military Academy in 1944. Following graduation he joined the Marines and proudly served during WWII, including the landing on Iwo Jima. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Jennie; children Amy (Ron) Biemiller of North Wales, PA; Beth (Tom) Duffy of North Wales, PA; and Murray (Annice) of North Smithfield, RI; and six adoring grandchildren: Megan, Kellie, Whitney, Hannah, Jennie and Andrew.
