Violet Bannister (nee: Rickard), 75, of Mays Landing, passed away on August 31, 2012. Violet was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease in 2000. Alzheimer’s did not win; rather the disease enriched our family and provided a circle of love and care. Violet is survived by her husband, Alfred and children: Billy (Joyce), Johnny (Jean), David (Bobbi Jo), Brian (Marla), and Lisa; her 15 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. Relatives and friends are invited to gather and celebrate Violet’s memory on Thursday, September 6th, from 10am-12noon, at the Boakes Funeral Home, 6050 Main St., Mays Landing, NJ, where services will be held at 12noon.
