Walter Frampus Obituary

Walter E. Frampus, Sr., 77, of Estell Manor, passed away peacefully at home on August 7, 2009. Born and raised in Gloucester City, he has been a resident of Estell Manor for the past 25 years. He proudly served in the U.S. Army for 23 years with tours in the end of WWII, Korea, and Vietnam. Walter was a member of VFW Post 11468 of Dorothy. After his service in the military he worked in the Northfield School System for 14 years and most recently for the Estell Manor School. During his leisure time he enjoyed painting, woodcrafts, and building ship models. He was predeceased by his parents Vur and Katherine, his two brothers Ansley and Joseph, his sister Eva, and his infant son Stephen. Walter will be loved and cherished by his wife of 35 years, Karen E.; five children: Donna DePalma, Walter, Jr., Denise Narvaez (Frank), Stephanie Lane (Chris), and Michael Frampus; ten grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Viewings will be held on Wednesday evening 7-9 PM, and Thursday morning 10-11 AM at the Boakes Funeral Home, 6050 Main St., Mays Landing, where services will be held at 11 AM Thursday. Burial will be in the Atlantic County Veterans Cemetery in Estell Manor. Memorial contributions may be made to the Greentree Church, 125 Schoolhouse Road, Egg Harbor Twp., NJ 08234
