Wesley Duane Ressler, 87, of Mays Landing, NJ. died September 19, 2015 at 7:58 am after a 7 year long battle with Lung cancer. Wesley Ressler, was born in Conemaugh, Pennylvania on September 1, 1928, son to James and Elsie Ressler and the loving husband of Johanne M. Ressler for 59 years. He is survived by his wife Johanne, a son James Ressler, and three daughters Brenda Anthony, Connie Reiter, Gail West and son in-laws and best friends Timothy Anthony, Bobby Reiter and Thomas West. He is also survived by five grandchildren Candice Marsh, Amber and Timothy Anthony, Tommy and Matthew West and two great grandchildren, Heidi and Dominic Marsh. Wesley was a Veteran of Vietnam War. He served over 20 years in the United States Air Force as security police and was stationed in England and at the Pomona Air Force Base. After retiring from the Air Force in 1971, he went to work for the Heavy and General Laborers Local 172 as a cement mason for 20 years before his final retirement. He was a simple man and loved all the simple things in life. His passions were hunting, fishing, football and stock car racing, He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. For family and friends that would like to say good bye a viewing will be held on Wednesday, September 23rd from 6pm to 8pm and Thursday, September 24th from 10am-11am with a service at 11am at Boakes Funeral Home 6050 Main Street, Mays Landing, NJ.
