Winfield Haeser Obituary

Haeser, Winfield “Bill”, Pop passed away peacefully on March 17, 2011 at the home of his daughter in Absecon and is now reunited in heaven with his wife of fifty years, Dorothy. He was born June 15, 1923 in the Bronx, NY to John and Maude Haeser. He served honorably during WWII as an engineer in the Merchant Marines and the US Coast Guard. After 32 years of service with New York Telephone and Bell Labs, he retired as a Construction Superintendent and moved to Brigantine. Pop loved golf, sailing, and family dinners. He is predeceased by his brother Jack. He is survived by his sister Eileen from Jenson Beach, FL. Also survived by his four children: Suzanne (Jack) of Salsbury, VT; William (Laurel) of Brigantine; Kenneth (Sylvia) of Dorothy; and Patricia (William) of Absecon. Pop is also survived by his sixteen grandchildren and nineteen great-grandchildren. Relatives and friends are invited to gather from 10-11am, Wednesday, March 23, at the St. Vincent DePaul Church, 114 Route 50, Mays Landing, with a mass to follow at 11am. Bill and Dot will then be buried together at the Atlantic County Veterans Cemetery.
