Eleanor DiGeronimo Obituary

Eleanor May Di Geronimo (nee Dodds) 89, of Wildwood Crest NJ, formerly Verona, NJ, passed away peacefully on April 22, 2021 at the home of her daughter. Born May 9, 1931, she grew up in Wanaque, NJ and graduated from Pompton Lakes High School. Eleanor worked at Annin Flag Co. in Verona starting as a Key Punch operator before computers and then a Data Input Specialist from 1969 to 1996. She was predeceased by her beloved husband of 50 years Sebastian, her sisters Roberta, Elaine, Dorothy, Bernice, brother William and granddaughter Lindsey. She is survived by her sister Edith, her loving children Arthur and wife Elizabeth, Cynthia Mierzwa and husband Stefan, Suzanne Martin and husband John, Kenneth and wife Linda and Peter and wife Lorraine. Her loving grandchildren Deanna and husband Matthew, Amanda and husband Allen, Melani, Timothy and wife Madeline, Jennifer, Kristin, John and wife Gina, Jordan and wife Alyssa, Joseph and wife Rebecca, Thomas and wife Emily, Jacob, Dylan, Kelly and Nina. Proud Great Grandmother of Carmella, RoseMarie, Anthony James, Annalise, Landon, Ulrich, Jessica, Ursula, John and David. Devoted Aunt to many adoring nieces and nephews. She raised her family in Verona before moving to Wildwood Crest in 2003. Visiting is at Caggiano Memorial Home, 62 Grove St, Montclair, NJ Sunday April 25 from 1:00-4:00 pm. Funeral Mass is Monday April 26 at 10:00am at Our Lady of The Lake Church, 32 Lakeside Ave, Verona, NJ Burial is at Laurel Grove Cemetery, 295 Totowa Rd, Totowa, NJ In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Jude Children’s Hospital or Alzheimer’s Association would be greatly appreciated. --
