Clara F. Steinmetz of Mt. Holly, passed away suddenly Saturday February 27, 2021, at her residence. She was 95. Clara was born in Southampton, NJ and had been a lifelong resident of Mt. Holly. She was a devoted longtime member of Sacred Heart up to the pandemic. Clara was an avid Phillies fan, she enjoyed doing jigsaw puzzles, and crocheting a blanket for anyone she met, but her biggest love was spending time with her family. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and friend who will be deeply missed by all. She was preceded in death by her husband Earl Steinmetz in 1978, her son Earl Steinmetz Jr. in 1994, four brothers and one sister. Clara is survived by her daughter: Judy and Sam Matthews; her grandchildren: Amanda Presley (Tony) and Aaron Matthews (Chelsea); and her great-grandchildren: Weston Presley, Peyton Presley and Allison Matthews. She is also survived by her sister Julia Trimm, many nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday March 3rd at 11AM at the LEE FUNERAL HOME, 317 High Street, Mt. Holly. Relatives and Friends may visit with the family Wednesday morning from 10-11AM at the funeral home. Interment will follow the service in the Mount Holy Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in memory of Clara either to the American Cancer Society or to the Burlington County Animal Shelter.
