Patricia B. Phares of Mt. Holly passed away May 3, 2021 at the Virtua Rehab Center in Lumberton, at the age of 100. She was born in Philadelphia, PA, grew up in the Merchantville area and was a longtime resident of Mt. Holly. Pat worked for the County Probate for 13 years and a bookkeeper for the Union National Bank in Mt. Holly for many years. She and her husband John Phares for several years ran the Mt. Holly Cemetery. Pat was a very active member of the St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church in Mt. Holly, a member of the St. Martha’s Guild, she sang in the choir, sometimes solo and was a Sunday school teacher for years. She also enjoyed working in her yard, gardening, crocheting, doing crossword puzzles and listening to classical music. She was preceded in death by her husband John Phares and her two daughters: Judith E. Phares and Margaret Murray. Pat is survived by her two grandchildren: Lynn Coy and Scott Stoor; and her five great-grandchildren: Brittney Adiare Coy, Arielle Coy, Eric Stoor, Sarina Stoor and Zachary Stoor. A graveside Service will be held on Tuesday May 18th at 1PM at the Mt. Holly Cemetery.
