Jean Borkowski

Borkowski, Jean M. (nee Puccio) 86, of Egg Harbor Township, passed away on Tuesday, June 2, 2009 at AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center (Mainland campus). Born in Jersey City to the late Dominick and Estella (Panzino) Puccio, she was a school crossing guard for the Jersey City Police Department for many years. Jean enjoyed cooking, sports, especially attending Giants football games and spending time with her beloved family. After spending most of her life in Jersey City, in 2005 Jean and her husband Edward re-located to Atlantic County. Jean is survived by her husband, Edward J.; her son, John E. and daughter in law Donna Marie of Egg Harbor Twp.; her two grandchildren: Maryetta and John Edward of Egg Harbor Twp.; her two brothers: George Puccio of Jersey City and Anthony Puccio of Hoboken; and many nieces and nephews. Jean was predeceased by her beloved sisters and brothers: Helen, Delores, Rose, Angelo and Frank. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, June 6th at 11:00 am at the Church of Saint Bernadette, 1421 New Road, Northfield. Friends may call from 9:30 am until the time of mass at the church. Interment will follow in Holy Cross Cemetery, Mays Landing.
