Walter Fry

Walter Gibson Fry, age 85, of Mays Landing, NJ passed away on March 24, 2009 at the Health Care Center in Galloway from a lengthy illness. Mr. Fry was a veteran of World War II and served in the United States Army. He was a life long member of the VFW Post No. 2389. He was a member of the Bethany Saint John's United Methodist Church and a member of the Home Dept. of the church. He was predeceased by his wife, Elizabeth Lake Fry. He is survived by daughters: Susan Chubb and Cathy Lawless (Joe); grandchildren; Ray and Mandy, great grandchild; Asha, sisters; Lillian Fry, Carole Ann Consalvo (Tom) and Lois Darr; many nieces and nephews; five step children; Leon (Lenore), Helen, Robert, Russell (Bobbi), and Jack (Carla) Lake, many grandchildren and great grandchildren and great, great grandchildren. A Memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 28, 2009 at 2:00 PM at the Adams-Perfect Funeral Home, 1650 New Road, Northfield, NJ. Friends may call from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM at the funeral home. Burial to follow at the Mount Calvary Cemetery, Egg Harbor Township, NJ. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Cardiff Memorial VFW Post 8098 (Formerly VFW Post No. 2389), 3029 Spruce Avenue, Egg Harbor Township, NJ 08234 or to any charitable organizations in his name will be appreciated.
