Ruggerio M. Barile “Richard,” 77, of Roseland, died on August 20, 2019 at home surrounded by his loving family. Relatives and friends are invited for visitation on Thursday, August 22, 2019 from 4 pm through 8 pm in the Shook-Farmer Funeral Home, 45 Roseland Avenue, Roseland, NJ 07068. A Funeral Mass will be offered on Friday, August 23, 2019 at 10 am at Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament Church, Roseland with entombment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, East Orange, NJ. Condolences and memories may be shared at shookfarmer.com. Born in Newark, he was raised in South Orange and settled in Roseland over 50 years ago. During the Vietnam War Era, he honorably served in the US Army. Throughout his life, Richard had a passion for golf. He considered Arnold Palmer a true icon and had the pleasure of meeting him on numerous occasions. He was a former member of the Knoll Country Club. Above all, he cherished the time spent with family and friends. Pre-deceased by his parents, Joseph and Mary Barile (nee Boiardo) and his siblings, Concetta and Frank Barile. He is survived by his beloved wife of 50 years, Carol (nee Bressan) Barile; devoted son, Joseph Barile and his wife Lori; loving granddaughter, Adriana. Also surviving are many nieces, nephews, extended relatives and friends. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, stjude.org,
