Angela Brede

Angela Brede (nee Scaglione) aged 88 years, passed away at her home in Kissimmee Florida on September 16, 2020. Angie was born April 25, 1932 in Newark NJ, the youngest of three siblings, Carmella Pedota and the late Joseph Scaglione. She grew up in Maplewood NJ, where she met here future husband Robert (Bob) Brede. The couple married, moved to Kenilworth NJ and raised their family. They had three children, daughter Barbara Tyne (husband Paul) and the late Rosemary Brede and John Brede. In 1962 Angie started Kenilworth's first taxi service known as “Kenilworth Kab” and ran the company for five years. Many recall an attractive blue Lincoln taxi with a pretty cabbie with a warm smile. She was active in the community attending St. Theresa's Church and its Rosary Society. She enjoyed politics and was once a Democratic County Committeewoman. She loved to travel and cruise and saw much of the USA, Europe and the Caribbean. Angie lived in Kenilworth for 64 years before moving to Florida, a life long dream. She was fortunate to have six loving grandchildren and six adorable great grandchildren. She had a good run will be dearly missed.
