Donald "Duck" Barry

Donald “Duck” Barry Duck Barry passed away on Saturday February 1, 2020 at Saint Peter's University Hospital in New Brunswick. He was 76 years old. Duck was born in Chicago and lived in Southern Illinois while continuing his education. He moved to North Brunswick in 1977 where he raised his family and has since lived. Mr. Barry was employed as a Professor of Statistics and Psychology by the Rutgers School of Criminal Justice. He also was the principle of Dragon River Incorporated which was a psychological testing firm. Duck was known to enjoy a good game of cards and enjoyed all types of music. He was a New York Giants Football fan, loyal to the New York Yankees and a supporter of all University of Michigan athletics. He was predeceased by his brother Thomas Barry and his parents Thomas and Pauline Barry. He is survived by his wife of 51 years Carol “Ria” Barry of North Brunswick and their children Patrick and his wife Lisa of Florida, Stephen of Cherry Hill, and Michael and his wife Mary of Massachusetts. He is also survived by his grandchildren Kyle, Sean, Ryan, Alexander, Liliana, and Sebastian. Funeral services will begin on Saturday February 8, 2020 at The Gleason Funeral Home 1360 Hamilton Street in Somerset at 9:15 AM followed by a 10 AM funeral mass at St. Mary of Mount Virgin Church on Remsen Avenue in New Brunswick. Committal services will follow at Franklin Memorial Park in North Brunswick. Visiting will be held from 2-4 and 7-9 on Friday February 7, 2020 at The Gleason Funeral Home.
