Michael Miniere

Michael Anthony Miniere Sr. Kendall Park Michael Miniere passed away on Monday at St. Peter’s University Medical Center in New Brunswick at the age of 72. Mr. Miniere was born in Plainfield and lived in Hagerstown, Maryland and Toms River before moving to Kendall Park 22 years ago. He graduated from Plainfield High School and achieved a Bachelor’s of Science in Mathematics from Montclair State College. He achieved his PhD in Mathematics from Stevens Institute of Technology. Mr. Miniere was employed as a Mathematics Professor at Middlesex County College and Rutgers University. He was a New York Yankee’s baseball fan and played the drums at local bars and nightclubs with the bands Clean Slate and Seventh House. He was pre deceased by his parents, Matthew and Josephine Miniere. Professor Miniere is survived by his wife of 22 years Lynn Gauker Miniere of Kendall Park and their son Michael Miniere Jr and Lynn’s daughters Nicole Rosenhouse of Montclair and Samantha Rosenhouse of Somerset. He is also survived by a sister Sandra Minieri-Schnitzer of Florida and a granddaughter Savannah. Visiting will be held on Friday from 4-8 PM at the Gleason Funeral Home 1360 Hamilton Street in Somerset and a funeral service will take place on Saturday morning at 10:15 AM at the funeral home. Please arrive by 10:15. Interment will follow at Resurrection Cemetery in Piscataway.
