Brian J. Comer, 77, of the Leisure Village East section of Lakewood, NJ died on Saturday December 15, 2018. Brian was born in New York City, NY and lived in Toms River for 45 years before moving to Leisure Village 2 years ago. He proudly served his country in the US Navy and worked as a Telephone Technician for Verizon in New York City for 30 years. Brian is predeceased by his parents Thomas and Mary Comer; his brother Thomas Comer and his brother in law Bob Doherty. Surviving is his loving wife Evelyn (Fischer) Comer; his children Catherine Comer of Arizona, Patricia Jorgensen and her husband Cory of Virginia and Thomas Comer and his wife Francesca of Spring Lake Heights, NJ; his sisters Margaret Doherty and Kathleen Kolesk and her husband Stephen; his sister in law Catherine Comer; his grandchildren Lauren Donnelly, Sean Donnelly, Erin Jorgensen, Andrew Comer and Dean Comer and 7 living nieces and nephews. Family will receive friends on Thursday December 20, 2018 from 3-7pm at the Timothy E. Ryan Home for Funerals 995 Fischer Blvd. Toms River, NJ. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Friday December 21, 2018 at 9:30am at St Justin Roman Catholic Church in Toms River, NJ. Committal will be private.
