The family writes – We are sad to announce the passing of our dear mother, Barbara Rosalind Cohen. She was born in Brooklyn, NY on May 12, 1937, and peacefully passed away on December 13th. She attended Long Island University, and received a BS degree in teaching. She loved, reading, traveling, cooking, baking, and spending time with her children and grandchildren. Her love for life was contagious. She leaves behind her loving daughters, Dr. Laurie Cohen, and Mrs. Jennifer Bixon, sons-in-law Dr. Bill Dunleavy, and Mr. Robert Bixon, and her grandchildren, Juliette Dunleavy, Ashley Dunleavy, Sean Dunleavy, Bryce Bixon, and Grant Bixon.
