Obituary for Thomas J. Leathem

Leathem, Thomas J. age 80 of Ramsey died Wednesday, January 30, 2013. Born in North Bergen he lived in Lodi before moving to Ramsey 48 years ago. Tom served in the Air Force as a Captain. Before his retirement in 1993, he was a Manager of World Trade and Development for the Port Authority of NY & NJ. He was a member of Park United Methodist Church, Weehawken, NJ. He was a 55 year member of the F. & A. M., Lodge # 35, Secaucus. Surviving are his sons, Harry Leathem of St. Petersburg, FL, Thomas J.R. Leathem of Wyckoff, 2 grandsons, Scott and Sean. Also surviving are his 3 step-daughters, Claudia, Marta and Norma, his brother, Robert Leathem and his sister, Elizabeth Van Bemmel, and many loving nieces and nephews. Visiting Sunday 2-4 and 7-9 pm at the Vander Plaat Funeral Home, www.vpfh.com, 257 Godwin Avenue, Wyckoff, NJ. Funeral Service Monday 11 am at the Funeral Home.
