Alan K. Harris, 65, of E. State Street, Gloversville, NY; passed away Friday November 15, 2019 at St. Mary’s Healthcare in Amsterdam, NY. Born in Gloversville on November 26, 1953, he was the son of the late William K. and Mildred Bowen Harris. Alan received his education in the Gloversville school system and was a graduate of Gloversville High School. He was employed as an assistant manager at Mohawk Harvest Cooperative Market in Gloversville, NY. Alan is survived by his sister, Valerie Hesslink (Steve Dziedzic), one niece, Stephanie Johnson, one nephew, Taylor Hesslink and his partner, James Palmieri. Cremation was held at Park View Crematory in Schenectady, NY. Final interment will take place at Ferndale Cemetery in Johnstown, NY. It was Alan’s wishes that no calling hours or funeral services are held. Arrangements are by the Riley Mortuary, Inc., 110 Division Street, Amsterdam, NY 12010.
