Antonio Speranza

Antonio Speranza, 49, of Monroe, NY; passed away unexpectedly Saturday, November 16, 2019 in Amsterdam, NY. Born in Amsterdam on June 20, 1970, he was the son of the late Joseph Speranza and Lucia Cutri Speranza who survives in Amsterdam. Antonio received his education in the Amsterdam school system and was a graduate of Amsterdam High School. He also received his Master’s in Jazz Performance from Manhattan School of Music. He performed with the New York Players Band in Albany, NY; and New York City. He was a member of Local # 802, American Federation of Musicians, New York City. Antonio was a member of the West Point Army Jazz Knights, playing the trumpet. Antonio is also survived by his wife,Ilianabell Ruiz Speranza, one son, Antonio D. Speranza, two daughters, Alexa and Lucia Speranza all of Monroe, NY; one brother, Vito Speranza, brother-in-law, Antonio Loffredo. Nieces and nephews also survive. Antonio was also predeceased by his sister, Tina Marie Speranza. Funeral services will be private and held at the convenience of the family. Interment will take place at St. Michael’s Cemetery, Amsterdam, NY. Memorial gifts in Antonio’s name may be made to Montgomery County SPCA, 1007 NY – 5S, Amsterdam, NY 12010.
