Carmela R. Gaudio, 93, formerly of Schenectady, NY; passed away Thursday evening July 27, 2017 at Capstone Center for Rehabilitation and Nursing in Amsterdam, NY. Born on September 14, 1923 in Schenectady, NY, she was the daughter of the late Anthony and Antoinette Farina. Carmela received her education in the Schenectady school system. She was employed as a secretary for Bondale Construction Company in Schenectady. Her husband, Louis Richard Gaudio whom she married May 5, 1946, passed away July 18, 1970. Carmela is survived by one son, Anthony Gaudio (Alta) of Schenectady, NY, three daughters, Doreen Ryder (Danny) Schenectady, NY, Denise Stutzke of Amsterdam, NY and Joanna Kurtzner (Dinny) of Amsterdam, one sister, Lela Bradt of Schenectady, eleven grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren and three great great-grandchildren. Nieces and nephews also survive. Carmela also loved her dog, Selina. Carmela was also predeceased by three sisters, Mary Burger, Dolores Mahoney and Rose “Dolly” Gentile and one grandson, Kenneth Stutzke Cremation was held at Park View Crematory in Schenectady. There are no calling hours. A private service will be held at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are by the Riley Mortuary, Inc., 110 Division Street, Amsterdam, NY 12010.
