Gina Marie (Agresta) Barton, 52, of Amsterdam, NY, passed away Wednesday morning September 6, 2017 at St. Mary’s Healthcare in Amsterdam. Born in Amsterdam on December 4, 1964, she is the daughter of Virginia Phelps Agresta who survives, and the late Raymond “Pucky” Agresta. Gina received her education in the Amsterdam school system and graduated from Amsterdam High School. Gina was employed as a Home Healthcare Aide for Home Helpers in Hagaman, NY. Gina is also survived by her husband, LeRoy Barton at home, one brother; William Agresta, (Kim) of Amsterdam and one sister, Ann Marie Agresta (Mark Backus) of Rochester, NY; brothers - in- law, Mark and Patrick Barton, sisters- in- law, Velda Tillison, Canaveral Barton, Penny Samuels and Karen Mathis. Aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews cousins also survive. Gina was also predeceased by her brother, Danny Agresta, her sister-in-law, Bonnie Laroda and several aunts and uncles and cousins. Calling hours are Friday September 8, 2017 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Riley Mortuary, Inc., 110 Division Street, Amsterdam, NY. Graveside committal services will be held in the near future at Green Hill Cemetery, and will be announced in the Amsterdam Recorder.
