William M. Racaniello

William M. Racaniello Jr., 85, of County Highway 126, Amsterdam, NY; passed away Wednesday October 30, 2019 at home surrounded by his loving family. Born in Manhattan, NY on December 2, 1933, he was the son of the late William M. and Wilhelmina “Minnie” Bennett Racaniello Sr. Bill received his education and graduated from within the New York City school system. Bill was the owner - operator of Racaniello Moving & Storage in Albany, NY. After retirement Vicki & Bill enjoyed traveling in their RV across the country spending the winters in Zephyrhills, Florida. He enjoyed working with his hands and could build anything. He filled his days spending time making the rounds visiting all his friends. He is survived by his loving wife of 63 years Victoria Gechele Racaniello. He also is survived by one son, Wayne W. Racaniello (Lorraine) of Meherrin, VA; - three daughters, Cynthia L. Singer (Jeff) of Gillett, PA; Susan M. Guisti (Doug) of Broadalbin, NY and Lisa Racaniello – Tambasco (Tom) also of Broadalbin. He loved thirteen grandchildren, Erika, Joelle, Tara, Douglas, Cheyenne, Victoria, Lorenzo, Luke, Lucinda, Charles, Christopher, Nicholas and Brandon and four great grandchildren, Ella, Emma, Beckett and Jackson. Sister-in-law, Louise Gechele. Bill was also predeceased by his brother Wayne Robert Bennett. Cremation was held at Park View Crematory in Schenectady. A Service of Remembrance will be held Monday November 4th, 2019 at 12 noon at the Riley Mortuary, Inc., 110 Division Street, Amsterdam, NY 12010. Relatives and friends are invited to call from 10 to 12 prior to the service. In Lieu of flowers, memorial gifts in Bill’s name may be made to Mountain Valley Hospice, 108 Steele Avenue, Gloversville, NY 12078.
