Nancy L. Broberg of Creekside Lane, Arcade died Tuesday, April 11, 2017 at the Bertrand-Chaffee Hospital in Springville at the age of 79. She was born September 1, 1937 in Franklinville, NY a daughter of the late George L. and Luella H. (Cummings) Weaver. She enjoyed crocheting, reading, and her family and friends. She was also a member of the Arcade Senior Citizens. She had worked at Motorola in Arcade, was a cosmetologist at the County Home, now known as the Pines Healthcare & Rehabilitation Center in Machias and had worked as an office manager for Baxter Southwest in San Antonio, TX. Her husband, John Broberg who she married February 14, 1989 in Las Vegas, passed away in November 1993. She is survived by her children: Lance R. Schurr of Sulphur, LA and Leanne Joy Schurr of Arcade; her siblings: Joyce Cramer of Franklinville and Dr. Jerald (Marty) Weaver of Rochester; a grandchild: Erica Dale (Adam) Leger; a great-grandchild: Allison Kate Leger as well as several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and her sister: Faye Ann Weaver. Friends may call Friday, April 14, 2017 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at the W.S. Davis Funeral Home, 358 Main St., Arcade where a Funeral Service will be held Saturday, April 15, 2017 at 9:30 AM. Pastor Shawn Hannon will officiate.
