Nancy O. Burns of Arcade, NY died Thursday, December 13, 2018 at Sisters Hospital in Buffalo at the age of 72. She was born June 10, 1946 in Penn Yan, NY a daughter of the late Raymond and Joan (nee Schad) Ossont. She enjoyed gardening, antiquing and cooking. Nancy was an avid reader and was a Librarian. She devoted herself and her heart and soul into Steven's Memorial Library in Attica, NY and was in charge of all of the recent building renovations. She had also worked at the Arcade Free Library and in the library at the Pioneer Arcade Elementary School. Her husband, Patrick T. Burns, who she married September 18, 1982 at the Glen Iris Inn in Letchworth, passed away September 11, 2018. She is survived by her son - Michael P.O. Burns of Rochester; her siblings: Richard (Sharon) Ossont of Dundee, Jean (Tim) Sebring of Penn Yan, Lynn (Bonnie) Ossont of South Carolina and Jack Ossont of Himrod, NY; also survived by several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents and her husband. There will be no calling hours. A private service will be held at the convenience of the family.
