Argyle Dottie G. Griffin, 71 , formerly of East Street, passed away on Sunday Feb. 7, 2016 at the Hudson Park Nursing Home in Albany. Born on Aug. 26, 1944 in Argyle, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Helen (McGeoch) Griffin. Dottie was a 1963 graduate of Argyle Central School. She loved walking, picnics in Lake George, camping, going for car rides and eating out. For many years, she babysat for several families and was a member of the Argyle Presbyterian Church. Besides her parents she was also predeceased by her longtime companion Lyle Saunders, as well as her brothers and sister, Barbara Fitzgerald, and John, Gary and Tom Griffin. Left to cherish her memory include her children, Lisa Saunders of Troy, Joe Saunders and his wife Penny of Argyle, Barbee Saunders of Argyle; her grandson, Derrick Saunders of Argyle; her brother, Mark Griffin and his wife Mary Ellen of Richmond, Virginia and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins and her lifelong friend, Belva Langworthy of Argyle.
