COSSAYUNA James “Buck” Milne, 78, passed away peacefully at his home on Tuesday. April 30, 2013. Born March, 24, 1935, in Troy, NY, he was the son of the late George and Marian (Dudley) Milne. On December 2, 1956, James married the love of his life, Jeannette Crandall, in Troy, NY. Before his retirement in 1998, Buck was employed as a driver for Arkansas Best Freightline (ABF) in Latham, NY, for over 30 years. Buck was a dedicated husband and a wonderful father to his children. He most enjoyed spending time with his family, and could often be found fishing and boating with his best friend, his wife Jeannette, or hunting with his sons. He loved growing a garden each year and canning the vegetables. As an avid outdoorsman, Buck was a member of the Stag Rod and Gun Club and the Cossayuna Lake Improvement Association. In addition to his parents, Buck was also predeceased by his wife of 56 years, Jeannette, his brother George K.Milne III, his son James Milne, Jr., and his granddaughter Chelsea Milne. Left to cherish his memory are Buck’s children; his son Norton Milne and his wife Margo of Green Island, NY, his son David Milne and his wife Edna of Angelton, TX, his daughter Linda Tozzi and her husband Rocco of Latham, NY, his daughter Tammy Gabriel and her husband James of Brunswick, NY, his daughter Kimberly Dinon of Troy, NY, his daughter Lori Grinnell and her husband David of Averill Park, NY, his daughter Colleen Arnold and her husband Brian of Galway, NY, his daughter Deborah Rowe of Norfolk, VA, his son Robert Milne and his companion Amy of Argyle, NY, and his son Raymond Milne of Argyle, NY. He is also survived by his sister, Theresa English, 22 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren, as well as several nieces and nephews. Arrangements are under the care M.B. Kilmer Funeral Home, 123 Main Street, Argyle, NY 12809. At Buck’s request, there will be no calling hours. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
