South Glens Falls Lucy E. Knowlton, 74 passed away peacefully on Friday, May 02, 2014 at Glens Falls Hospital. Born in Glens Falls on May 19, 1939, she was the daughter of the late Curtis and Frances (Lavigne) Knowlton. Lucy was a graduate of Argyle Central School. She waitressed at Mike’s Restaurant in South Glens Falls for over 26 years and The Wishing Well in Wilton for about 10 years. Lucy was a kind, caring, and giving person to anyone she knew. Her dog Tia was her love of her life. Besides her parents, Lucy is predeceased by an infant brother, a brother, Francis “Sonny” Knowlton, and a nephew in-law, James DeMarsh. Left to cherish her memories are her sister, Janice Walker and husband Harold, her brother, Stanley Knowlton, her nieces, Linda LaFountain and husband Elton, Peggy DeMarsh, and Shelly McClaksey and husband John, her nephews, Curtis Walker Sr., and James Knowlton, a special cousin, Sheila Knowlton, along with many great and great-great nieces, nephews, and cousins. Friends may call from 6pm-8pm on Monday, May 5, 2014 at M.B. Kilmer Funeral Home, 123 Main Street, Argyle, NY 12809.
