Argyle
Marion Cook, 88, passed away on Saturday, December 24, 2016 at the Washington Center in Argyle.
Born on March 19, 1928 in Massena, NY, she was the daughter of the late Samuel and Florence (Ehle) Browning.
Marion married Irving Cook and they resided in Argyle. She was a former longtime librarian for the Argyle Central School.
Marion was a very active member of the Argyle community and also within the school district. She was a longtime member of the Argyle Presbyterian Church where she served in many capacities over the years. She loved activities with the Argyle Senior Citizens group and enjoyed traveling with them. Marion enjoyed playing Bingo and attending craft fairs where she sold her needlepoint projects.
Besides her parents and husband, Marion was also predeceased by her son, Christopher as well as her brother William Browning, and her sister Barbara Knight.
Left to cherish her memory include her nieces and their families; Beth Soboleski, Karen Brown, Karla Longdaue, Kelly Dowd, and Katie Hodges, and her sister-in-law Diane Browning.
Friends may call from 2 to 3pm on Tuesday, January 3, 2017 at the Argyle Presbyterian Church, Main Street, Argyle.
Memorial Services will be conducted at 3:00pm on Tuesday the church following the calling hours.
There will be a reception in Fellowship Hall, following the services.
Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
