GLENS FALLS Mark Gavin Nolan, 67, passed away Sunday June 7, 2020 at Glens Falls Hospital. Born May 5, 1953, he was the son of the late Michael and Elizabeth (Conley) Nolan. He graduated from Schuylerville Central School in 1971. After high school, Mark earned his bachelor’s degree in Arts from SUNY Albany. During that time, he spent a year in Grenoble, France as part of his undergraduate studies. Mark was an avid Boston Red Sox fan. With his love for the game, he played for many softball teams such as, Hughes’s Bar and Grill and The Theater in Schuylerville. He excelled at 1st base on the teams. Mark was a self-taught guitarist. He enjoyed performing open mic nights in several Glens Falls night spots. In addition to his parents, Mark was predeceased by his brother Michael Nolan, Jr. Left to cherish his memory, is his brother John (Diane) Nolan of Ballston Spa; sisters, Mary Green of Greenwich and Ann (Doug) Lamson of Boulder, CO; nieces and nephew, Elizabeth Johnston, Andrea Green, Mariette, Julia, and Nolan Lamson. At Mark’s request there will be no calling hours or services. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family. The family would like to thank the Stichman Towers for their care and concern for Mark. Also, many thanks to his doctors, nurses, and staff in Tower 2 at Glens Falls Hospital. Memorial donations in Mark's memory can be made to the Old Saratoga Athletic Association, P.O.Box 72, Schuylerville, NY 12871. Arrangements are in the care of M.B.
