Fort Ann Richard L. Harsha, 77, passed away on Thursday, June 22, 2017 at his home. Born January 23, 1940 he was the son of the late Lawrence and Marjorie (Saunders) Harsha. On March 28, 1959 at Adamsville Baptist Church, Richard Harsha married the love of his life Odelie Greeno. They were married for 56 years until her passing in January of 2016. Together with his wife and children Richard owned and operated the Harsha Dairy Farm since 1967. Dick’s greatest passion was farming and spending time with his family. He also loved traveling to the Caribbean Islands and Hawaii with his wife and friends. In addition to his parent and his wife, Dick is predeceased by his sisters, Phyllis Kew and Donna White. Left to cherish his memory include his daughter, Carolyn Jobin and her husband, Tom of Massachusetts; his sons, David Harsha and his wife, Scarlett of Fort Ann, Myron Harsha and his wife Barbara of Fort Ann and Laurence Harsha of Fort Ann; his grandchildren; Tara McKenzie and her husband, Andy of Berkshire, Michael Harsha and his wife, Jen of Salem, Jill Pratt and her husband, Brandon of Easton, Christopher Harsha and his wife, Sarah of Fort Ann, Brittney Churton of Massachusetts and Gwenn Harsha of Oneonta; his great grandchildren, Ian, Kaelyn and Rory McKenzie, Max and Adolly Harsha, Edith Pratt; his sister, Debbie Pollack of Hartford; along with many nieces, nephews and cousins. Friends may call from 11:30 am to 1:00pm on Monday, June 26, 2017 at M.B. Kilmer Funeral Home 123 Main Street Argyle, NY 12809. A Funeral service will be conducted at 1:00pm at the funeral home, following the calling hours with the Rev. Stephen McLean, pastor of the Argyle Presbyterian Church, Officiating. Burial will follow at Prospect Hill Cemetery, Argyle. Donations in Richard’s memory can be made out to St. Jude Children’s Hospital 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105-1942.
