Stephen Papps

Mechanicville Stephen Jon Papps, 45, of Mechanicville, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, Feb. 28, 2017 at his home. Born on March 7, 1971 in Claremont, New Hampshire, he was the son of Donald Papps of Claremont, NH and Laura (Sylvester) Papps of Fort Edward. Stephen graduated from Stevens High School in Claremont, NH. He worked for many years as mechanic for Parsec Co. in Mechanicville. Stephen enjoyed fishing, and especially loved spending time with his family and friends. Stephen is predeceased by his grandparents, Raymond and Elizabeth Sylvester, Raymond and Wanda Papps; his aunt, Linda Champney; and his cousins, Arnold Champney Jr., and Elizabeth Gibson. Left to cherish his memory besides his parents include Donald’s wife, Donna Papps, and Laura’s husband, Randy Jones; his brother, Russell Ott and his wife, Julia; his nephews, Samuel and Maxmilian Ott; his sister, Breanne Ryder and her husband, Clayton; his niece, Robin Ott, and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
